Fourteen franchises were recently cited in the NFLPA’s grievance for allowing veteran players during their rookie mini camps. The 14 teams cited for this were Atlanta, Baltimore, Carolina, Cleveland, Denver, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Minnesota, New England, New Orleans, Oakland, Tennessee Washington and the New York Jets.

Today the NFL ruled that teams should be able to work out some veterans, but put a cap on it. They will be allowed to have 5 veterans during their rookie camp from now on.

The agreement came after the NFLPA filed a grievance against 14 teams who had veterans with NFL experience working alongside rookies who were drafted, already signed as college free agents or vying for roster spots. At the time, there were no specific guidelines in the Collective Bargaining Agreement pertaining to veterans trying out during a rookie mini camp.

The financial compensation for participating veterans was one of the NFLPA’s concerns, according to FOX Sports.

surprised that we aren't on that list. we had a few players at the rookie mini camp that were on the team (or the practice squad) last year. not really rookies.
 
Were the non-rookies at our rookie camp practice squad players from last season? sh))
