Most of those kids are on rookie deals for the next 2-3 years, so yes not only can you afford it, the timing couldn't be better. If you front load it their contracts come due when his cap numbers falls off. It's kind of genius by the front office from a money stand point.
That's the price of a starting caliber QB that gets you in the playoffs, the only alternative is pay a half assed QB and try to build a all defensive team etc. Rarely works. Just my opinion, pay the man and move forward.
Agree, The problem is they can't offer much in terms of salary so there isn't much to be had in terms of vet talent that cheap. It would be nice if they could rework a contract or two and pick up a vet WR and backup QB after cut downs.
For the first time in twenty years, I don’t feel like we’re a piece or two away, at the most. They don’t pay me to make these decisions for a good reason, but I’m down for an organizational shift. I know that having a physical identity does not exactly guarantee anyone a title (Rams and...
So my thoughts although this is just off my head on who stood out and who I thought looked bad. I haven't rewatched it yet which I plan to do this weekend:
Stock Up:
+Jack Heflin - Was in the backfield consistently and made plays when they needed to be made.
+Entire OL - I was surprised the...
I think statistically we'll see Rodgers will be fine but won't be as gaudy as the last two years -- his overall yards and completion rate will likely drop and the TDs slightly. I think we'll see more close games like in MLF's first year (2019), less blowouts. I don't think the OP's 3900 yard...
Pretty straight forward, if they can't protect him and the WR can't get open he struggles. They have to stop going away from the run, of course part of that is Aarons check downs.
Can't wait to see this team at almost full strength. Funny how a lot of players (rightfully) complain about late season bye weeks but it ended up working out pretty well for us this season.
This game actually worries me a bit. The Vikes dropped a few seesaw games early on and could easily be a 6-3 team or something. They're definitely not a bad team. A road divisional game where the Packers are down a bunch of guys too. I'm expecting a pretty competitive one.
I think it's hard to argue that the Packers made the wrong decisions with most of the guys that Rodgers mentioned. Hayward and Hyde turned out to be better players elsewhere, but they had significant issues when they were here. Cobb was productive in Dallas, but he's very injury prone and his...

Definitely. Like most pre draft stuff, it can be pretty heavily skewed based on biases and misconceptions of the particular ranker. But, it sure is fun to imagine possible holes being filled.
