It would be so fun for this team to get into the playoffs....and despite their defensive limitations, their offense if anywhere close to healthy would terrify playoff opponents right now, just because it's full of young playmakes all over the field.
Merry Christmas !!
Positives - a much needed win. Vikings lose, but this could be a negative for 2024 scheduling.
Love, Jones, Kraft, Doubs, Wicks and BO MELTON.
Clutch kick by Carlson.
Offense was a well oiled machine in the first half anyway.
Negatives - watching this damned defense week...
Preston Smith covering Davante Adams is the stuff of comical memes that are already being produced in mass.
Barry playing Rudy Ford and co. 10 yards off the WR while the Raiders were on the Packers 10 yard line …it’s literally Groundhog Day year in and year out with Dingle Barry.
This team has...
I’m not worried about Love yet. Way too many Packers fans expect him to look like a HOF QB that has been in the league for 10 years. That isn’t realistic. Compare Love tonight to Ridder a couple weeks ago.. He’s got plenty of future in this league, but he still has a ways to go to master the...
DL play was outstanding. The Bears OL is mediocre at best, but the Packers did what you are supposed to do against that kind of OL and continually put pressure on the QB. Numerous guys got sacks, including a couple rookies. They also kept the run game of the Bears relatively in check as well.
R...
It is incredibly obnoxious and infuriating in my opinion.
The talk about how GREAT it is to be around a FO like the Jets that treats him so great and the communication is there...fine, That's his new team.
All the "this is definitely more than a one year thing, they committed to me," also...
His production might have dropped after his injury. Then he hurt his shoulder too. He was decent before that. Reportedly had a long lead up to his kicks which led to blocks. I donno.
Highlights never show you everything, but he has good mobility, decent enough arm strength and is willing to throw it into tight windows. There's enough for the Packers to work with.
I like Van Ness a lot. He's still young and has a lot of upside. Yet those Iowa guys come NFL-ready. No matter who the DC is, you can never have enough good pass rushers. Right after Packers drafted Van Ness, Patriots traded back, so he was probably going to be the Patriots pick. Expecting the...
Well as the Brewers learned, the difference between playoffs and no playoffs is beating the teams you should beat. We didn’t. We stay home. The end. On to next season.
After seeing the way he turned Kansas around LL is my pick, no UW isn't a rebuild but it does need a culture flip. We've been stuck in Barry's world way too long.
The Packers passed on significant draft compensation in trade capital and are paying Aaron Rodgers $50M dollars a year to hand the ball off to Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon because it's the best offense we have because our pass protection is terrible and we didn't do anything to address the...
13-3....13-3.....13-3 39- 9 over 3 years. You can bitch and moan if you want but guys with that win % don't grow on trees.
The problem is everyone believes because AR is the QB it should mean Super bowl.... the last one was 11 years ago. Might be time to temper our expectations a little.
Rodgers has to play in the system, even if it’s boring. Throw on time, check the ball down, get the ball to the skill guys and let them do their job. LaFleur needs to stick to the run, pathetic lack of touches for Jones. He’s your best skill player, he needs 20-30 touches a game.
Defense was a...
Davis was probably the most surprising. He'd been the #3 pretty much all off-season, OTAs, Mini-Camp. He looked good. He had good practices, he was working with the #1s. He was a 5th round pick, Indy cut him despite needing a Safety. It'd be similar to cutting Enagbare for us. If Vernon Scott...
Quay Walker had a good outing. Looked real decisive, athletic and sure. Love looked like he could win a few games if he had to start. Goodson looks explosive.
Rasheed Walker looked steady as can be at tackle.
The kicker has a big leg. Looks good.
Zach Tom, another outing where he just holds...
I thought the WRs looked pretty good, Winfree not so much, but Doubs, Toure, Davis, and even Amari. Amari looked great returning kickoffs - a lot quicker and less tentative. Did he even have a chance to return a punt? I think he still is the best returner they've used or talked about using...
