Hafley definitely passes the first impression test. He at least has a vision and philosophy. So much of DC ability is when to call what. Defense is hard. The game is slanted towards allowing the offense to succeed. Every defense has holes. I'm just hoping they tackle well and hurry the QB up...
- Defensively, just did not do enough, particularly on the last drive, to disrupt Purdy. The pass rush was close numerous times throughout the game, but this was a game where you just have to get home on the QB. We need to upgrade the safety position without a doubt.
- Zach Tom's injury...
Amazing how two games changes the season perception and how MLF is viewed as a head coach changes quickly. Maybe relax and realize we’re rebuilding. It’s a process.
So much truth here. I've been coaching at some level for 33 years. Everyone thinks it's as simple as plug in a scheme and make it go. But once injuries happen your completely limited in what you can do. I think Berry by nature is conservative in his coverages. This leads to people specifically...
I will go with 9-8 but like Mark if Love gets hurt then it's out the window. I think injuries as a whole play a big part in how this team evolves. The depth isn't as good as it looks in preseason.
TE Davis out for the year so there's a fairly good chance it's now just Musgrave, Kraft, Degura at the TE position. Davis will have to be replaced as a key guy on ST so that opened spot likely goes to a WR, LB, DB, RB as opposed to an extra OL, DL, or QB.
I think Stanford is next in the BIG 20, then they need to decide between Notre Dame or Cal for the last spot. I prefer Notre Dame myself.
Late last night I heard Washington state and Oregon state were talking to the Big 12 as well. By next week most of the regional college FB as we knew it will...
I don't think it's a consideration until they approach the trade deadline or in the offseason. If they trade him next year the new team pays Bahk a bargain & GB gets some cap relief.
Personally I'd keep him at least for this year. Having a solid OL and running game will make a new QB's job...
Those first 3 rounds were solid, I agree with others GB sat on their hands and it caught up to them Day 3. Gute wasn't very aggressive this year. You can't really grade a draft until 4 years later but at first glance it's a solid B for me.
We do need a vet arm for the year though.
Not who I would be picked with how the board fell but clearly not a bad pick. Premium position with high upside that was ranked in the draft pick range he was selected
I have no clue how well Love will do, but it is rather exciting to start fresh again. Our expectations are down and so should our disappointments, but all and all, I look forward to rooting the Packers to their next SB..
I’m stunned tbh. I can tell you that the “Wisconsin way” is a real thing that has pervaded the culture here since Barry arrived. Once the job was posted after the win over Nebraska last week, it seemed to me that Leonard’s hire was a mere formality given how ingrained into this culture both he...
Positives-Bakh and Jenkins both played, both looked good for the most part.
-We've been disabused of the idea that this team is going on a run in the most winnable NFC in years.
-Watson made a couple more plays.
Sammy Watkins should be gone. At least try Travis Fulgham or whatever it is. He...
I'll say that's the big unknown in all this, how the front office goes about managing the cap space and acquiring talent for the future. Who is the future? What are their long-range plans post Rodgers? I am not sure they really know.
This was my big take-away. Rodgers had a few good throws, but was often off... No blaming WRs this time either. Very obvious misses Sunday. That last sequence of throws were out quick and off his back foot...floaters to nowhere. Not sure where he was yesterday...
