Martinez has been one of the few bright spots...

My daughter was married on Saturday and we had a gift opening at our house on Sunday during the Packer game. At home, the mood was the strangest I can remember. Elation for my daughter and new son-in-law, depression for my favorite team. The weather sucked. Rained for 40 hours straight starting early Saturday morning and rained until Sunday late. We had flooding everywhere. The Western Michigan game was cancelled in favor of a rowing match. Roads were closed all over town. But the Bride and Groom were great. The friends and family that gathered had a blast and if rain on the wedding day is good luck they will be blessed for an eternity. It was the best, worst weekend ever.

Nice reminisce there eyecatcher. It pointed out something we all have to remember. It's still only a game, and life goes on, and can be pretty darned good, even when things go bad for our football team.

Wish the kids well from my wife and I. We're closing in on our 54th wedding anniversary. It was raining the day we got married too. It had been like a monsoon, since the day before. Thanks for making me remember.

Congrats Eye! My daughter got married this weekend too. She chose to be married on Friday, because a Friday the 13th wedding appealed to her for some reason. It worked out, weather was awesome!

This is the type of flooding we had in our area for those of you who didn't see it when I posted it in shout. This is 3 miles from the reception.
