Taylor is going to end up being a strong candidate for a Heisman before he's done. No matter what he does this year, unless the Badgers won the National Title he won't get it. But, before he's through, he's going to be right up there and maybe the next Badger to get one.

The kid has all the tools to be the best, and may already be exactly that. Time will tell.

I didn't catch the end of it, but I'm also pretty sure Barkley was held pretty in check yesterday. He was held to negative rushing yards until the 4th quarter.

Saquon Barkley right this minute is the better back. Taylor is a true freshman and UW has to be very careful not to overload him each week. Young kid isn't used to this kind of pounding yet.

Make no mistake he has the tools to be one of the best all time at UW.

Taylor has not shot at the Heisman this year unless he is just absolutely spectacular in every game a breaks some records. His time for serious consideration will come, but it won't be this year. In part, because as Mark said, I think the coaches will be a little careful with him and limit his touches.

Winning the National Championship comes weeks after the Heisman is announced. That will have no bearing on him winning it. I do think him being a Freshman will impact his chances of winning it. No true Freshman has ever won the Heisman. Only 2 redshirt Freshmen have won it in Manziel and Winston. He has been incredible to watch but we are only 5 games in to his young career. Let's see if he can sustain for 12 games. Hopefully 15 games.

Barkley's stats were deceiving. He had 75 yards on 16 carries. A 4.7 average, and 2 TDs. But, until the 4th quarter, he had squat. He broke off a 53 yard TD run, and that was the padding in his stats.

Until that big run, he had 15 carries for 22 yards, and was being hit behind the line of scrimmage most of the time. He shed some tacklers, but couldn't get past the second hits. Northwestern did a heckuva job, focusing on his ability to turn outside on plays. They had someone waiting for him every time except the one big run.
