Last stab at it before we go live... will also be my entry into the draft contest this year.

Round 1. Gareon Conley*, CB, Ohio State Many people have TJ Watt here and if the top corners are gone maybe but I think Conley is here and GB can't afford not to shore up the secondary with a top corner prospect. . He played well, and teams think he is a solid corner who could be a first-round pick. They like his size, quickness and versatility. Conley is a well-rounded prospect who does everything well.

Round 2. Jordan Willis, 3-4 OLB, Kansas State GB has to get more pressure and disrupt plays on defense. Willis excels in that area... In 2016, he totaled 11.5 sacks, 52 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, three passes batted and three forced fumbles. Just what the doctor ordered.

Round 3. ANTHONY WALKER JR., ILB Northwestern I almost went RB here but can TT/MM really let a guy like Walker slip away ? I think not. Adding Walker let's Matthews stay outside where he's happy.

Round 4. Jordan Morgan OG Kutztown GB is known to have interest and he's still on the board. Depth at OG solved

Round 5 A. Jamaal Williams, RB BYU, GB gets their RB in round 5. Williams has good size 6'0 212 with 4.59 speed. Gets yards after contact and has good cut back moves and vision. Nice round 5 gem

Round 5 B. Jadar Johnson, S, Clemson More depth for GB secondary with this pick

Round 6. Robert Davis WR Georgia State TT adds another WR prospect late.

Round 7. Treyvon Hester, DT, Toledo. An undersized DT that GB shifts to DE. Depth pick which GB goes after to keep him out of the UDFA race. ( Big time guess with this pick)

There is my last stab at the 2017 draft !

Wow! Great job! That's one heck of a lot of research. Conley is tall, 6-2. I like that in a CB. Too many short guys and they can't contend for jump balls. He'd be a tremendous asset. He has under 4.5 speed, and in more complex drills, and agility tests, really stands out, from what they say. He also loves playing man, and has good instincts in zone coverage. He could be a 10 year pro bowler, if he lives up to what appears to be his potential. He needs to put on a few pounds. He will, and not lose any speed. He's wiry, and strong, from what they say.

The only problem is, someone is going to grab him before we get a shot at him. Too much potential there to drop down to us. If he does, I totally agree. GRAB HIM!!!! Excellent research, and great choice Mark.

If he's gone, I might lean towards trading down, or taking Watt. I prefer trading down, because I think you could still get Watt up to 12 picks into round #2.

I was told that Anthony Walker put on nearly 30# to be viable as a linebacker in the NFL. He was playing around 205#, and was effective, but when he added weight, the effectiveness went down some. If he gets up over the roughly 235# range, his speed could suffer. He's a bit of a reach, but from what I've heard, he's very bright. Could be a leader in the linebacker crew. A coin flip here. If given my options between him and Watt, I think it's Watt, because he will be coming into camp prepared by working with his brothers to get him ready. I know JJ will do everything he can to get the kid in an NFL uniform. But, I figure in round 2, Watt will be gone early so we can forget about him - unless we trade down, and get an early round 2 pick.

My opinion? I wouldn't consider Walker until at least the 4th or 5th round. I just don't see him being able to add another 10 to 15#, and being effective. Based on size alone, I'd take Watt because he's a good 3" taller than Walker.

If you're reaching for an ILB, I'd go to Jarrad Davis out of Florida. Even then, not certain I'd want him this early. Maybe 3rd, or 4th round.

I don't want to even guess where we should go in round 2. It's a crap shoot. I do know, when we get to round 3, if Haason Reddick, out of Temple, is still available, I'd think seriously about drafting him. Check him out and you'll see why. Enough speed to cover deep on crossing routes, and the size to play large. He would need a whole lot of coaching, but when you were done doing it, you'd have a monster who could cover at all three levels. In the right system, and I think our 3-4 is right for him. Inside or outside, either way, I'd be happy. If he went outside, I'd have no problem seeing Matthews moved inside. Or, reverse it. He has a lot of potential, and can even be a freaking nickel back in some formations.

Great job Mark. Just a couple of my observations.

Watt and walker play different positions. Walker will be a solid ILB. the kid is always around the ball. I would be fine if he played inside at 230. check out Alex Anzalone if you want a LBer you can move all over the place. I know he has injury history but his athletic ability is crazy.

I would be more then happy with this group. nice work

I would definitely be happy with this draft. It's always interesting, to me, to see so many thoughts on these drafts. It gives me a good insight as what to look for when the real deal happens. Nice work Mark.

Would love it if Conley was still there in the first round. 6' and 195 who can run a 4.44 forty and a 37" vertical? Yes please! Also really like the first 5 picks and really think they should be available at those spots. Jordan Morgan is a classic TT pick, small school LT who the Pack would move inside. Anyone who can push Barclay off the roster is good with me! Williams would be a nice addition, not speedy but very tough and steady. Those last three picks are sooo hard to anticipate. All in all a very reasonable scenario. Nice job.

It's a no brainer if he's there. Just think Corners like him will be off the board well before our pick. :(

Always enjoy reading through everyone's mocks!

Every year Mark seems to get that one player TT grabs that none of us saw coming. The Guard in this Mock could just be that guy.

Will say though a 6'0 200 lb Rb that only has 4.6 speed doesn't excite me too much. Consider when we had Green at around those numbers he ran in the 4.3 range. What am getting at is breakaway speed for long run yardage....if a player is a good player and can help that's great. I'm just greedy is all when it comes to speed and is something this team lacks overall.

Man Mark, when I saw this mock it took the wind out of my next mock. I've been jotting down ideas for a mock, off and on, for a week now and the last two I sketched out had Conley at the top and one of them had Willis in Rd 2. Guess I'll have to go back to the drawing board, literally. I really can't disagree with any of these picks, and the spots seem pretty realistic. Really like this draft.
