2017 NFL Combine Thread

John Ross breaks combine record with a effortless 4.22 40 time. I have a feeling this guy is going to go top 10 in the draft and become a guy who will take the top off D's in the NFL. Think he has what it takes to be a top end #1 perhaps a guy like a DeSean Jackson.

No thanks... we keep drafting weak route runners and get no return. Go draft a guy that understands routes and your 75 % there.

I should have mentioned that I went to three of his games this past year, and found that he really isn't that bad of a route man as they indicate. I think they overreacted, because he actually tried to play himself open, which is pretty much how the NIU offense works. It's kind of wide open. What I did see was a guy who can get his hands on the ball, and hang on, even when hit. That's concentration. It's one of the keys to Jordy's success.

He might not be able to do well, but if they take another undersized receiver who can't hand fight for the ball, I'm going to stroke out. We need big guys, who know how to hand fight. It's the way the NFL is heading. More wide open battling for the ball.

You're right on coaching. They haven't done a good job of teaching routes for about five years now. Goes back to Philbin's leaving for Miami - darn it! It would definitely be a reach.

Be nice if TT actually drafted a majority of guys who weren't projects.... GB has way to many project players that don't pan out as it is.

The fact GB ends up starting so many UDFA is very telling, and not in a good way.

Also telling fact is that Ted spends almost all his pre-draft visits on on likely to be UDFA's. Probably tells you why Ted has issues hitting his 1st round picks because he just goes off tape and rarely even speaks to guys he drafts in the first round.

I have to see more of his numbers... But he doesn't seem like a #1 WR to me.. If you read his weaknesses they are things that a #1 needs to be able to do.

A #3 behind Jordy and Adams and also on field with Cook? I could see him becoming what many hoped Janis would become.

I don't think you ask john ross to be a "#1" type. Hes a guy that will do what desean Jackson does, blow the top of a d. He will have a place in this league. He is more then just speed. he is a gamer. I would worry about his past injuries though. He wont be a packer though I don't think. he prob goes higher but we have greater problems then wr

as far as cook. Rumor is talks have stalled so he isn't a lock to be here next year. I hope we can bring back some of our own or we are taking a step back and that will piss many off with how close we were

Didn't like him at first, but the more I think about it the more I've come to realize he is the kind of back we've been wanting for the Pack for a long time. Home run hitter, playmaker. He is almost the identical size as Jamal Charles. He may not be a typical three down RB, but only about 5 teams in the league use one back. MM loves schemes and this guy is dynamic. RB is also the position that can have immediate impact. There should still be CBs available in round two.
